Three towns, shared learning
Microclimas brought bat conservation and environmental education to Guaro, Almargen and Pizarra, with support from Málaga Provincial Council and Fundación Unicaja. Nine georeferenced bat boxes were installed for subsequent checks.
What people experienced
Bat Night events combined talks, virtual reality and evening detector walks. Around 130 people took part across the programme. The boxes offer potential roosting sites; installation alone does not demonstrate occupancy or a reduction in pesticide use.
