Field survey
With Fundación Cueva de Nerja, we study bat use of the cave entrances and surroundings to inform conservation management. A night survey on 19 June 2026 covered three entrances, combining observation, ultrasonic recorders and infrared cameras.
Ongoing analysis
Specialist analysis of acoustic and visual material is under way. Species-level findings and management recommendations will be shared once validated.
