Bring an event about nocturnal biodiversity to your museum, municipality, park, hotel or business. We organise Bat Nights in Andalusia and across the Iberian Peninsula, with a programme, team and resources adapted to your venue and audience.
A Bat Night designed for your space
A Bat Night is a science communication experience designed to introduce bat biology, ecology and conservation through participatory activities.
MuMa designs each event around the venue, audience and organisation’s objectives. Depending on the proposal, it can combine a talk, a walk with bat detectors, an introduction to bioacoustics, an interpretation table, 3D models, MuMa VR Experience, workshops and other educational resources. Not every format includes the same modules. Outdoor walks take place when the venue, accessibility and environmental conditions allow.
We agree the staffing, materials, duration, setup and technical requirements with you.
Observation and listening take place without handling animals or entering their roosts. Sightings and detections are not guaranteed, because bat activity depends on environmental conditions and the site itself.

- Science outreach: a participatory talk on biology, echolocation and conservation, adapted to the audience’s age and interests.
- Interpretive display: 3D bat models and materials to observe their anatomy and understand their diversity.
- Listening to ultrasound: detector demonstrations and an interpretive walk where site conditions allow.
- MuMa VR Experience: immersive experiences exploring nocturnal biodiversity. Headsets, sessions and content are specified in the proposal.
From the programme to the event
Before confirming the activity, we review the venue and agree a programme and quotation with a defined scope. This helps you promote the event and coordinate your team around its practical requirements.

- Audience, ages, capacity and duration: a workable format for your event.
- Staff, detectors, headsets and display materials: provision specified in the quotation.
- Setup, electricity and indoor or outdoor spaces: advance coordination with your organisation.
- Accessibility, weather and an indoor alternative: conditions agreed before confirmation.
Conservation to explain and experience
The event resources connect field research with relatable questions: how bats navigate, where they roost and how to coexist with them. Technology supports the scientific explanation and complements contact with the natural environment.
The same event can combine in-person science communication, 3D models and immersive experiences. We select resources for their value to your audience.

Before organising your Bat Night
The proposal details the activities, staff, materials, duration and setup requirements. It can combine a talk, an educational display, 3D models, MuMa VR Experience, bioacoustics workshops and other educational resources. Ultrasound detectors and a night walk are included where conditions allow. Each format includes different resources.
Yes. We can design an indoor format with outreach, 3D models, sound demonstrations and immersive experiences. The programme depends on the venue, audience and commissioned resources.
No. Detectable presence and activity depend on the location, season and environmental conditions. We organise a learning and responsible observation experience, without handling animals or promising sightings.
Before confirmation, we agree the necessary weather conditions, the feasibility of an indoor venue and rescheduling conditions. An alternative is not automatically included without reviewing the venue and quotation.
No. Bat Night is an outreach event for visitors. Courses with learning objectives, practical sessions and their own teaching methodology are booked through Specialist training.
Organise a Bat Night with MuMa
Tell us where you would like to organise the event and who it is for. Include your organisation, municipality, indicative dates, intended audience and whether indoor and outdoor spaces are available.
We can then assess feasibility and prepare a proposal with a programme, resources and quotation. The date and scope are confirmed before commissioning.
